The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex world.

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Maintenance Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Repair and maintain HVAC system, plumbing, physical structure, electrical wiring, and fixtures in accordance with blue prints and/or manuals.
- Repair and maintain windows, doors, and locks.
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery, and mechanical equipment according to maintenance schedule.
- Search for defects in mechanical systems.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to defective parts to repair and reassemble upon completion.
- Measuring, cutting, replacing, repairing, and installing conduit, pipe, or tubing for gas, air, water, ventilation, hydraulic or electric lines, and plumbing.
- Install or replace electrical or plumbing equipment, wiring, or fixtures; make and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other structures.
- Non-production painting as assigned.
- Operation of any equipment in the plant in connection with maintenance work.
- Perform electric arc welding on non-production work as assigned.
- Install guards and safety equipment within their capabilities.
- Make time and materials estimates as requested for maintenance work prior to performance of such work.
- Assist in preparing instructions on how to use machinery, equipment and systems properly, including lockout/tag out procedures, power up/power down procedures, and the calculation of cubic feet per minute, voltage, wattage, amperage requirements and loads.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- One to three months related experience and/or training
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Completed courses at an accredited technical school for: Maintenance Electricity (3 terms), Hydraulics (2 terms), Pipefitting (2 terms), Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (1 term), Electric Arc Welding (1 term).
Travel & Working Environment
- Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
