This is a position with The Marley Company, a parent company which provides administrative support to the SPX Enterprises HVAC Heating businesses (such as WM Technologies, LLC, Marley Engineered Products, LLC, Patterson-Kelley, LLC)  and includes all Weil-McLain® branded products.

 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Shipping/Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for operating power industrial equipment to assist in the loading and unloading of materials, moving items throughout the plant, and maintaining an accurate and organized inventory in the warehouse.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Shipping and Receiving
  • Prepare items for damage free shipping using automated shrink wrap machine, steel banding, or bolting items.
  • Figure load size and method of loading.
  • Locate trailer and prepare for loading (chock wheels, etc.)
  • Inspect trailer before unloading for chocked wheels, safe & sturdy flooring.
  • Load and unload trailers with caution and inspect all material for damage and item accuracy. Distribute weight evenly.

 

  1. Accuracy and Maintenance
  • Using Kan Ban report obtain all items on list prior to loading.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory control.
  • Fill out Daily Forklift Drivers Inspection sheet, perform maintenance checks, and replace fuel tanks as needed.
  • Maintain work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • can and transfer items using trans-collector.
  • Receive material into JD Edwards then creates Identification labels.

 

     3.  Material Handling 

  • Transfer materials to proper locations.
  • Haul material & put away into determined stocking location.
  • Monitor and support materials flowing in and out of the Machine Shop.
  • Perform other varies duties as instructed by Supervisor.

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Ability to work in Warehouse/ Foundry conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use scales
  • Ability to balance truck loads

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous Shipping/ Receiving experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

 

Education & Certifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
