JOB SUMMARY
The Aftermarket Project Manager will be responsible for managing aftermarket projects across Northern Europe, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction. The role includes coordinating resources, overseeing project lifecycles, and acting as the main point of contact for customers during project execution. This position plays a key role in supporting the growth of the SPX Cooling Technologies aftermarket business by ensuring seamless project management and execution.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
• Plan, organize, and execute aftermarket projects, including installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs for cooling systems.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans using tools such as Microsoft Project and SAP.
• Monitor project progress and take proactive measures to address challenges and risks.
• Ensure projects are completed to high standards of quality, within agreed timelines, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Customer Relations
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
• Provide regular updates and detailed project reports to customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, service technicians, engineering, and procurement, to ensure project requirements are met.
• Liaise with subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure their work aligns with project specifications.
• Support the sales team in providing technical and project management insights during pre-sales activities.
Financial Oversight
• Track and manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising project quality or customer satisfaction.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to measure project success.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
• Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with SPX Cooling Technologies' standards and local legislation.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction in project management.
• Gather customer feedback and lessons learned to refine project management practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Proven expertise in managing technical or aftermarket projects, ideally within the cooling, HVAC, or similar industries.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with SAP for project tracking and financial management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer engagement.
• Ability to handle pressure and make informed decisions in dynamic environments.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial projects.
• Willingness to travel across Northern Europe as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Experience:
• A project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an aftermarket or technical environment.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and external contractors.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages relevant to the region are advantageous.
