This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. SUMMARY: Set up and train others to set up mechanical and hydraulic presses with tooling including the machine accessories, such as, decoiler and feed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Set up Mechanical and Hydraulic presses.
- Determine parts to be run and set up for an area or set of presses.
- Train other operators on how to operate the Machine and do some set up.
- Performing operation to process.
- Retrieve, load, and unload specified materials and parts.
- Produce parts to drawing tolerances and adjust as needed.
- Ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
- Advise supervisor and QC of any quality issues.
- Use safety devices as prescribed by the manufacturer or MEP.
- Perform specified preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling and assist in repairs as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe work habits of any associate that you assign to a job you or another set-up person has setup.
- Fill out all required paperwork and train others on same.
- Responsible for detailing the quality inspection required by any associate you assign to a job that you or another set-up person has setup.
- Maintain 5S responsibilities of assigned work areas
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experienced is machine set up, tooling and fabrication
- Forklift Certification or experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
- Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments.
