The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Application Development Intern, you will provide hands-on experience in software development, technical documentation, and process automation. The intern will support our development team by working with CPQ tools (PC Heat and IHeat), Java environments, SQL databases, and SimTrans automation while gaining valuable industry experience.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for CPQ tools (PC Heat and IHeat).
- Assist in setting up and configuring Java development environments.
- Review and document existing reports, identifying opportunities for performance enhancements.
- Support and document the SimTrans process automation.

Required Experience
- Basic understanding of Java development and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and data structures.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Certifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Travel & Working Environment
- Hybrid schedule – Interns are required to be in the office two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
- Collaborative team setting – Work closely with software developers, product managers, and IT professionals to gain hands-on experience
