As part of Detection and Measurement, Radiodetection is a global leader in the design and development of equipment and software used by utility companies to install, protect, and maintain underground infrastructure networks. Through precision and magnetic locators and ground penetrating radar, we help prevent damage to infrastructure utilities and protect lives.
JOB SUMMARY
Radiodetection Ltd is recruiting a Service Technician to join the Service Team based in our Bristol office. Reporting to the Distribution and Service manager the candidate will be responsible for repairing, servicing and maintaining a range of products. The candidate must be a ‘team player’ but also able to learn quickly, adapt, be flexible and work on their own if required. Must have strong problem solving character and experience in a broad service environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out the service, fault repair & Calibration of products using purpose built calibration equipment with optimum efficiency while verifying goods to high quality standard in a repeatable and cost effective method.
• Complete administration tasks for each product using the IFS database
• Liaise with customers on service issues over the phone, email & face to face when required
• Achieve weekly / monthly productivity targets
• Perform additional or alternative tasks that may be reasonable from time to time
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Be self-motivated, proactive and thorough in his/her approach to the work
• Good soldering and re-work Skills
• Be able to work on his/her own, and as part of a team.
• Experience in electronics would be a distinct advantage
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
• An electronic service back ground would be desirable but not essential
Preferred Education / Experience
• Experience in electronics would be a distinct advantage although this is not essential as full training will be provided
