Machine Operators & Assembly $3000 Sign-on Bonus

Cincinnati Fan, an SPX technologies company, has a 60+ year history of designing and manufacturing industrial fans that are used in applications around the world. 

 

Job Summary

Operates fabricating machines, such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch machines, that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures. Assembles by hand or using hand tools or portable powered tools or operates equipment as necessary to produce or process products. The position may assume additional duties as assigned.  The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, work independently, and as a team. 

 

Activities/Tasks

  • Follow all safety rules and adhere to core values of business.
  • Ability to read work orders.
  • Daily documentation of work performed for required production records.
  • Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects.
  • Utilize small tools such as grinders to remove scratches, excess weld material and burrs.
  • Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, production items, and product components.
  • Ensure proper and effective operation  of machine throughout entire process. Report malfunctions and/or needed repairs to manager/supervisor/team lead.
  • Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of the work performed.
  • Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions, and operating difficulties.
