How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. This role will play a critical part in driving data-informed decision-making across the supply chain function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing ERP data across multiple systems, developing and automating dashboards and KPIs, supporting system implementations, and playing a key role in implementing the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.

 

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. ERP Data Management & Dashboard Development
  • Extract, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple ERP systems to produce actionable insights on Key Performance Metrics such as inventory, purchase price variance (PPV), and on-time delivery.
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Birst, or Excel to automate reporting and visualization of supply chain performance to support decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve data accuracy through automation and process redesign.
  • Develop, document, and deploy standard processes based on best practices, for data analysis, reporting workflows, and supply chain planning activities.
  • Maintain and improve ERP data integrity related to item masters, BOMs, SKUs, and inventory movements.

 

  1. SIOP Implementation & Demand Forecasting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the SIOP processes across the business units.
  • Generate, review, and refine demand forecasts using system tools and market intelligence.
  • Perform other requirements of the SIOP process such as forecast uploads, updates, and forecast accuracy analytics.

 

  1. Root Cause & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to draw conclusions from data and develop actionable recommendations. 
  • Investigate supply chain variances and performance issues; identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
  • Identify evolving analytical tools, systems, and processes that may be used to improve overall performance and efficiency. 

 

  1. Systems Support & Implementation
  • Partner with IT, supply chain, and business teams to support system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for supply chain data needs during ERP changes and integrations.

 

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, finance, and commercial teams to align supply chain analytics with business priorities.
  • Partner with supply chain and sourcing leaders for effective implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Create and drive improvements in the overall efficiencies and communication to key stakeholders.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses and insights to support strategic projects and operational improvements.

 

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a supply chain analytics or planning role, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems – SAP preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, able to perform data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with forecasting tools or modules.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience making data driven decisions and developing actionable recommendations for the business.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Birst, Tableau.
  • Experience in SAP implementations focused on manufacturing, inventory & distribution processes.
  • Familiarity with MRP, S&OP/SIOP processes, and inventory optimization best practices.
  • Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in process mapping such as Visio or Miro.

 

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Travel & Working Environment

  • Office environment.
