Job Description:

The position will be responsible for putting the stock in its proper place within the warehouse area, storage area, and retrieve items as needed.  The position may assume additional duties as assigned.  The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.

 

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift license required

 

Activities / Tasks:

  1. Perform preventative maintenance on the assigned forklift at the beginning of the shift
  2. Proficiently and safely picks, packs, ships, or receives Company product
  3. Performs inquiry functions related to orders and/or materials utilizing the computer inventory control system
  4. Completes associated documentation as required

       5. Operate a forklift

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to correctly and safely use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)
  • Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow and understand directions
