As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and well-organized experiences that support our internal teams and customer relationships. You’ll plan and execute a variety of events—from facility tours and sales meetings to corporate-sponsored activities—ensuring every detail reflects our brand and creates a positive impact.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Event Planning & Execution
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external events, including sales meetings, facility tours, and customer visits.
- Plan local and national events, managing catering, lodging, transportation, and entertainment.
- Support coordination of corporate-sponsored events such as charity golf tournaments and sports outings.
- Ensure seamless visitor experiences at the Marley Factory and R&D Center.
- Marketing & Communication Support
- Assist the marketing team with internal communication materials.
- Maintain trade show inventory and support timely fulfillment and shipping of materials.
- Contribute to event communications and ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Project & Vendor Coordination
- Track event progress using project management tools and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and venues.
- Collect post-event feedback, measure success, and recommend improvements.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in event planning or marketing, preferably in a B2B setting.
- Experience managing logistics for corporate events, meetings, or tours.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of trade show and event logistics.
- Familiarity with project management tools and email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
- Comfortable working in both Mac and PC environments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, resourceful, and detail oriented.
Education & Certifications
- Associate’s degree required; preferred focus in Communications, Marketing, or Hospitality.
Travel & Working Environment
- Occasional travel required for event setup and coordination.
- Must be able to lift and move event supplies (up to 50 lbs.).
- Office environment with varying noise levels.
- Frequent computer use and ability to handle high-volume work efficiently.
