JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an enthusiastic Stores person to join the experienced team at our Worcester site.
This role is solely responsible for coordination of the stores and materials within the Worcester Facility and any other storage facility which may be required within the broader Worcester area.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the role will cover all elements of logistics and stores management, including but not limited to unloading and loading, booking and locating deliveries, transferring and picking parts, cycle counting, stock take and all goods receipt and dispatch paperwork. This includes all related SAP transactions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the receipt and storage of all materials, ensuring company processes in relation to checks and documentation have been accurately completed
• Ensure that the stores and yard areas are maintained to a high standard of 5S and housekeeping, which will include hazard spotting activities.
• Conform to all Health & Safety requirements. Unload full 40ft/20ft containers safely.
• Manage the priority of projects within stores as defined by the Supply Chain Manager
• Manage stock integrity – investigating and reconciling issues as and when they arise
• In team with the Supply Chain Manager, manage the annual stock check and act as the operations point of contact for third-party auditing teams, as well as assisting finance by providing stock reports and any other information required
• Receive and book in goods ensuring they have arrived in sound condition and in correct quantities.
• Locate goods in an accurate manner in accordance with specified default locations.
• Manage stock rotation as defined.
• Ensure appropriate information is updated and recorded on SAP.
• Ensure physical parts movements (transfers) are matched on SAP
• Pick products in accordance with customer orders/kits.
• Handle goods in accordance with supply schedules.
• Handle associated routine paperwork and ensure inventory control systems are kept up-to-date.
• Other such additional or alternative tasks that may from time to time be reasonably required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• FLT driving licence.
• Driving licence.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to cope with the physical demands of a warehouse role.
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate positive attitude.
• Experience of SAP is advantageous
• Previous experience in stock management.
• Good written skills and computer literate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
• Experience of working in a logistics environment.
• NVQ Level 2, or equivalent.
