This is a position with The Marley Company, a parent company which provides administrative support to the SPX Enterprises HVAC Heating businesses (such as WM Technologies, LLC, Marley Engineered Products, LLC, Patterson-Kelley, LLC)  and includes all Weil-McLain® branded products.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Part-Time Warehouse Lead, you will support the daily operation of the Williamson-Thermoflo warehouse by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving documentation. This role serves as a key point of contact for transportation coordination and inventory movement while helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Through attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication, you will help ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Shipping & Receiving Coordination
  • Open and close warehouse operations as required.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight appointments with carriers and transportation providers.
  • Coordinate daily shipment activities to support customer and business requirements.
  • Process outbound shipping documentation and ensure shipment records are complete and accurate.
  • Process UPS WorldShip documentation and related parcel shipment requirements.
  • Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal personnel regarding shipment scheduling and status.

  1. Warehouse Operations
  • Receive inbound product shipments and verify quantities and documentation.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming materials and products and communicate discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and parts areas.
  • Support general warehouse housekeeping and operational readiness activities.
  • Assist with routine warehouse maintenance and upkeep to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

     3.  Inventory & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain and update daily shipping, receiving, and audit logbooks.
  • Process and verify packing slips and shipping documentation for inbound and outbound materials.
  • Perform periodic cycle counts as assigned and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records to support operational, inventory, and audit requirements.

4. Customer & Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with office personnel, operations teams, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to support daily business needs.
  • Assist with special projects and additional warehouse-related activities as assigned.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse organization, safety, and operational efficiency.

 

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics-related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of forklift operating experience.
  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments and transportation activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to maintain records and documentation accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, transportation, and logistics processes.
  • Experience with parcel shipment systems such as UPS WorldShip.
  • Associate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • Certified forklift operator and/or forklift trainer certification.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform general warehouse maintenance and upkeep.
  • Established relationships or familiarity with transportation providers and logistics networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Business Management, Supervisory Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Forklift Operator Certification preferred.
  • Forklift Trainer Certification preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and products as required.
  • Ability to safely perform shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations in an active warehouse environment.

Travel & Working Environment

  • Primarily onsite in a warehouse environment.
  • Fast-paced and seasonally variable workload.
  • Frequent interaction with delivery drivers, carriers, and transportation providers.
  • Exposure to warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, varying temperatures, and material handling activities.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required based on operational needs.
