This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. This role supports a Electric Heat manufacturer across multiple plants. The analyst leverages data, systems, and cross‑functional collaboration to improve service levels, operational performance, and supplier reliability.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
1) Multi-Plant Supply Chain Support
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance across all plants.
- Balance demand/supply strategies across all facilities.
- Support cross‑plant alignment of purchasing, planning, production and logistics.
2) Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze supply chain data (inventory, demand, procurement, transportation, lead times) to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Build dashboards and reports (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) to communicate performance metrics.
- Maintain KPIs such as OTIF, fill rate, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and aging inventory.
3) Inventory & Demand Planning
- Assist in forecasting demand using historical trends, seasonality, and market signals.
- Optimize inventory levels across multiple locations to balance service level and working‑capital efficiency.
- Monitor stockouts, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions
4) Production & Planning Alignment
- Support leadership by validating forecast accuracy and demand shifts.
- Ensuring material availability aligns with build schedules.
- Participate in S&OP with data‑driven insights.
5) Supplier & Procurement Support
- Evaluate supplier lead times, reliability, and performance.
- Support sourcing teams with data-driven supplier evaluations and cost analyses.
- Track open purchase orders and identify delays or constraints in the supply pipeline.
6) Logistics & Operations Alignment
- Analyze transportation data to support freight optimization, carrier performance and freight damage/RMA processes.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving, manufacturing, and suppliers to align supply with demand.
7) Process Improvement & Standardization
- Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis for supply disruptions or operational issues.
- Help implement standardized supply chain processes across all plants
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- Previous planning, purchasing and/or logistics experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong cross‑functional communication ability.
- 2+ years’ analytics experience in collecting and interpreting data and providing insights
- Experience making data driven decisions and developing actionable recommendations for the business
- Strong command of Microsoft Suite especially excel analytical tools (vlookups, formulas, pivot tables etc)
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in electrical or HVAC manufacturing.
- SQL or Python experience.
- Power BI, Qlikview, or Business Warehouse to generate automated reports
- MAPICS, SyteLine, and/or SAP ERP applications experience.
- Programming skills with querying languages and Power Query for transforming and loading data
- Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistics regression, log-linear regression, variable selection etc.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, supply chain management or a related field
- APICS/ASCM certifications or Business Analytic Certifications are a plus.
Travel & Working Environment
- Office environment with occasional work in a plant/manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Environment require use of foot, eye and ear protection when in production areas.
- Minimal travel (<10%) that includes visits to other facilities, vendors and training.
- Hybrid in-office/remote work schedule
