This opportunity is for our Neptronic business. Neptronic was founded in 1976 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada. We design and manufacture innovative HVAC solutions, including humidifiers, electric heaters, controls, actuators and actuated valves. How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will own and grow an assigned U.S. territory by developing new markets, customers and long-term relationships for engineered HVAC and building automation solutions. You will lead regional sales strategy with a primary focus on humidification and OEM business, while advancing opportunities for electric duct heaters, CMUs, controls, actuators and actuated valves. Working with Neptronic and broader SPX Technologies teams, you will translate technical applications into commercial success, identify synergies across the portfolio and drive sustainable growth.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

 

1. Territory Strategy and Business Development

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with Neptronic and SPX Technologies commercial objectives.
  • Grow humidification sales across commercial, institutional, industrial and other technically demanding HVAC applications.
  • Identify, develop and support OEM partnerships and integration of Neptronic technologies into manufacturers’ products and systems.
  • Expand regional opportunities for Electric Duct Heaters (EDH), CMUs, controls, actuators and actuated valves.
  • Identify new markets, applications, accounts and strategic commercial and industrial opportunities.

 

2. Customer, Channel and Specification Development

  • Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, consulting engineers, mechanical and controls contractors, system integrators, OEMs and other partners.
  • Develop HVAC and building controls distribution networks and support channel partners in growing local markets and converting opportunities into sales.
  • Track distributor performance against monthly and annual sales objectives, identify gaps and provide support to achieve targets.
  • Work with consulting engineers and designers to increase Neptronic product specifications in projects.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations, training and product demonstrations to customers and partners.

 

3. Commercial Execution and Cross-Business Collaboration

  • Manage opportunities from specification and business development through quotation, project support and long-term account growth.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline; deliver sales forecasts, competitive insights and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, Marketing and senior management on major opportunities, strategic accounts and regional initiatives.
  • Learn complementary SPX Technologies products and capabilities; identify cross-selling, integrated solution and collaboration opportunities across SPX businesses.
  • Build relationships across SPX to share market intelligence and connect customer needs with broader organizational capabilities.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, customer meetings and technical seminars.

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships, identify opportunities and grow markets or territories in a technical or commercial environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, channel partners and commercial decision-makers; a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability, disciplined follow-up and ability to work independently.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Prior HVAC industry experience, particularly with humidification, air handling equipment, building automation, electric duct heaters, controls, actuators, valves, OEM sales or engineered products.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS), BACnet and related applications.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to quickly understand engineered products and clearly communicate customer value.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, territory ownership and skill in developing long-term relationships.
  • Ability to spot commercial opportunities beyond a single product line and collaborate across the SPX Technologies portfolio.
  • Strong presentation and relationship-building skills, strategic perspective and willingness to learn complementary technologies.

 

Education & Certifications

  • Engineering or other technical education is strongly preferred, especially mechanical, electrical, building systems, controls or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent relevant technical knowledge, industry experience and demonstrated commercial achievements will also be considered; no specific certification was identified.

 

Travel & Working Environment

  • Field-based position covering a USA territory, with regular travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Periodic travel to Neptronic headquarters in Montreal for training, meetings and customer activities.
