This is a position with The Marley Company, a parent company which provides administrative support to the SPX Enterprises HVAC Heating businesses (such as WM Technologies, LLC, Marley Engineered Products, LLC, Patterson-Kelley, LLC) and includes all Weil-McLain® branded products.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
At SPX, each team member plays a meaningful role in driving business success. As an Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will support the hydronics heating business by ensuring timely and accurate application of customer payments, proactive collections, and effective resolution of deductions, chargebacks, and disputes. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow and strong customer relationships.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the accuracy of daily accounts receivable processing, including automatic cash application through BoA iRec
- Apply customer payments and investigate discrepancies or unapplied cash
- Generate and analyze aging reports, reconcile customer accounts and identify collections priorities
- Conduct collection calls for past-due accounts through phone calls and follow-up emails
- Research, track, and resolve customer deductions, chargebacks, and disputed invoices in collaboration with Sales and Customer Service
- Enforce company cash discount policies and recover unearned discounts when applicable
- Maintain and update customer credit files, including credit applications, D&B reports, and resale/tax-exempt certificates
- Investigate missing, unidentified, or rejected payments and ensure proper resolution
- Support month-end and year-end activities as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What we are looking for (Qualifications)
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 year of accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new applications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage multiple open items and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and data-entry accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skill for internal and external interactions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to work overtime as required, especially during month-end and year-end close
Preferred Experience
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP System
Education
- High School diploma required
- Some college coursework preferred
Travel & Working Environment
- Office Environment
- Hybrid - mandatory in office Tuesday & Wednesday
- No regular travel required
