How You Will Make an Impact

 

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee our sales operations within a designated geographical area. The ideal candidate will possess strong business development skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of driving business growth.

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing multiple locations, ensuring operational excellence, achieving financial targets, and fostering a positive work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and initiatives to expand the company's footprint in the region.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations across multiple locations within the region, ensuring consistency and high standards of service.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage regional budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute regional strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives to drive business growth and market share.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and concerns to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all locations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities within the region.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on regional performance, including financial results, operational achievements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Crisis Management: Effectively handle any crises or emergencies within the region, ensuring swift and appropriate action to mitigate impact.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Management, or a related field
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a regional or multi-location management role, with a proven track record of achieving business objectives
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and performance metrics
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business strategies
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on practical and effective solutions
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using business management software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, financial software)
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a willingness to travel within the region as required

The compensation information that follows is a reasonable estimate for the position and is provided pursuant to legal requirements in this state.   The salary estimate provided represents the typical salary range for the position, and other factors may be used to determine the successful candidate’s actual salary, including skill set, experience, training, education, organizational needs, internal equity, market data, and geographic zone.   The estimated salary range for this position is: $107,500 - $160,000.   At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors.   This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan, subject to the rules governing the plan.  SPX offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401k retirement with a company match, and flexible time off.   More information about our benefits can be found on the “Rewards and Benefits” section of the career page.
