This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Executive Assistant, you will serve as a trusted executive advisor and enterprise-level administrative business partner to the HVAC Leadership Team. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and influence, requiring expert-level knowledge of executive operations, organizational dynamics, and business priorities.

 

You will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of executive support standards, processes, and best practices across SPX. Through independent judgment, discretion, and innovative problem-solving, you will directly influence leadership effectiveness, decision-making quality, and the successful execution of strategic initiatives with long-term organizational impact.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Executive Advisory & Strategic Enablement
  • Act as a trusted consultant and strategic partner to HVAC senior leadership, providing expert guidance on executive operations, workflow optimization, and priority management
  • Operate with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives, priorities, and approaches to executive support
  • Anticipate complex business needs and proactively develop solutions that enhance executive effectiveness and align with organizational objectives
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and adoption of executive support standards, tools, and best practices across leadership teams

 

  1. Complex Problem Solving & Decision Support 
  • Independently resolve complex, non-routine issues requiring ingenuity, innovation, and sound judgment
  • Analyze competing priorities, organizational risks, and downstream impacts to recommend solutions consistent with business strategy
  • Support executives in preparing for critical decisions by coordinating inputs, synthesizing information, and ensuring readiness
  • Exercise judgment where errors could result in significant organizational disruption, financial impact, or reputational risk

 

  1. Enterprise Liaison & Relationship Leadership
  • Serve as a key liaison between HVAC leadership, ELT members, functional leaders, field executives, and external stakeholders
  • Represent leadership professionally and credibly on matters related to organizational priorities, policies, and initiatives
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across the enterprise to enable collaboration, alignment, and effective execution
  • Partner closely with other senior Executive Assistants to influence consistency, coverage, and enterprise-wide support models

 

  1. Calendar, Travel & Executive Operations Leadership
  • Manage highly complex executive calendars and commitments, independently balancing competing demands with enterprise impact in mind
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, leadership meetings, and executive events requiring precision, confidentiality, and advanced planning
  • Lead planning and execution of executive leadership meetings, offsites, and enterprise events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives

 

  1. Governance, Compliance & Professional Integrity
  • Maintain executive records, correspondence, and sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, governance standards, and SPX policies
  • Uphold and model the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving organizational needs

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience providing senior-level executive support in complex, corporate environments
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of executive operations, governance, and enterprise coordination
  • Proven ability to operate independently with minimal oversight while supporting leaders with significant organizational impact

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Recognized subject-matter expertise within executive administration and leadership enablement
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex and ambiguous challenges
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence when handling highly sensitive matters
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Ability to assess long-term organizational impact when making decisions and recommendations
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level correspondence and materials
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and modern collaboration tools

 

Education & Certifications

  • Associate’s Degree with 6+ years of related experience or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

 

Travel & Working Environment

  • Fast-paced, enterprise-level corporate environment
  • Travel 5-10% annually
  • May support leaders across multiple locations and time zones
