This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.
Our portfolio includes baseboard, wall, unit, and infrared heaters, along with ceiling fans and air circulators - designed to deliver comfort, reliability, and performance. We are committed to high-quality, energy-efficient solutions that improve environments where people live and work.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

The Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by serving as a primary point of contact for customers and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism, urgency, and care. This position is responsible for accurately processing customer orders, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and problem-solving are key to success.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
1. Customer Order Management
- Process customer orders accurately and promptly through ERP and order management systems.
- Review order information for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
- Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions, orders, and communications.
2. Customer Support & Communication
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide information regarding products, pricing, order status, and company services.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and providing effective solutions.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all customer interactions.
3. Issue Resolution & Problem Solving
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and order discrepancies with empathy and urgency.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify and implement solutions.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while ensuring consistent follow-up and communication.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and service effectiveness.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Shipping, and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Support communication between departments to facilitate accurate order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement and customer success.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- Customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP, order entry, or customer management systems preferred.
- Proficiency navigating multiple computer systems and business applications.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Experience handling customer complaints and issue resolution.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance customer service.
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Travel & Working Environment
- Hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in office.
