JOB SUMMARY

We’re hiring an Implementation Engineer / Specialist to join our Implementation team. This multifaceted role sits at the intersection of product, cloud SaaS configuration and field device installations. You will own end-to-end onboarding for new tenants (mapping customers’ business use cases to our product), configure and customize the multi-tenant SaaS platform, and perform device and field-trial work that includes POS, mobile apps and fare-collection style hardware (validators, TVMs, vaults, etc.). The ideal candidate is client-facing, technically curious, comfortable with light scripting/HTML, familiar with databases and cloud storage, and able to work on-site when required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead onboarding for new customers: discover customer workflows, map use cases to product features, and propose configuration approaches.
  • Configure and deploy tenant instances in our multi-tenant SaaS environment; create tenant-specific settings, roles, and workflows.
  • Customize UI/screens using basic HTML/CSS to accommodate client preferences and branding.
  • Execute data tasks in MySQL and MongoDB (data imports, verification, SELECT/UPDATE queries, simple migrations).
  • Manage configuration files and artifacts stored in AWS S3 and ensure correct environment configuration.
  • Support POS, mobile app and remote device integrations — coordinate back-end configuration, device provisioning and integration testing.
  • Perform on-site installations, field trials and device commissioning (validators, TVMs, vault modules, POS terminals and similar hardware) and coordinate with field service providers and customers.
  • Conduct networking checks and basic network configuration troubleshooting (IP, ports, DNS, VPN, NAT, cellular connectivity for remote devices).
  • Carry out UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with customers, triage issues, and manage remediation until sign-off.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across application, data and device layers; escalate to Engineering when needed.
  • Document implementation steps, runbooks, device configuration guides, and post-implementation handover material.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Support and Program Management to ensure on-time delivery from SOW to go-live.

MINIMUM SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–5 years experience in SaaS implementation, technical onboarding, professional services, or field integrations (hardware + software).
  • Practical familiarity with:
  • Multi-tenant SaaS environments and tenant configuration principles.
  • MySQL and MongoDB (basic to intermediate: CRUD, simple joins, queries and updates).
  • AWS S3 for storage and config management.
  • Basic HTML/CSS for screen customization.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, VPNs, basic routing).
  • POS, mobile app, and remote device integration concepts (provisioning, firmware/firmware updates, connectivity).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, network and device layers.
  • Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills — able to run discovery sessions, demos, and UAT calls.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certified
  • Cisco CCNA Certified
  • Prior experience with fare-collection hardware, TVMs, vaults, validators or related transit payment systems (or experience with retail POS or kiosk hardware).
  • Experience with APIs and integration testing (REST, JSON).
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and basic scripting (bash, Python) for diagnostics and automation.
  • Experience with ticketing/project tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams or within program managed implementations.

TRAVEL AND FIELD EXPECTATIONS

  • Willingness to travel for on-site installs, UAT Testing, and customer training. Travel frequency will vary by project; candidates must be comfortable with occasional multi-day site visits and coordination with third parties (field technicians or local integrators). Expect 40% Travel
