As part of Detection and Measurement, Aids to Navigation, including Flash, Sabik Marine and Sealite, are leading providers of lighting and navigational aids for the marine, obstruction, and airfield end markets.  Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions, we help people transverse the world safely by air, land, and sea.

 

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role will focus on supporting both our sales and customer service operations by helping with order processing, credit card payments, and offering support to outside sales personnel. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service via phone and email and working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Processing:
    • Assist customers with product inquiries and provide accurate information based on their needs.
    • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Follow up with customers to ensure orders are processed and delivered as expected.
  2. Telephone & Email Support:
    • Provide exceptional customer support via phone and email, addressing inquiries, issues, and concerns.
    • Resolve customer problems in a timely, professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales Support:
    • Assist Account Managers and outside sales representatives by preparing orders and providing administrative support.
    • Provide information on product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  4. Communication with Other Departments:
    • Coordinate with the warehouse, shipping, and billing teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
    • Communicate effectively with other internal departments to address customer needs and resolve issues.
  5. Customer Experience Improvement:
    • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction.
    • Suggest improvements to internal processes that would lead to more efficient operations and better service delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between customers and the company to ensure all customer concerns are heard and resolved promptly.
  6. Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks:
    • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the sales and customer service departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Experience with order processing and payment processing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for customer service.
