Are you an ambitious early career Engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines? Are you eager to make a mark in the engineering world?
During the course of a two-year development program, our Engineering Rotational Program will be your gateway to an engaging journey of growth and innovation. This program is crafted to nurture and develop the brightest minds, offering a unique blend of hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development over the course of three to four distinct work rotations.

Responsibilities can include the following, with rotations in areas such as Project Management, Product Development, Product Engineering, Quality, or Operations:
- Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications throughout various rotational assignments.
- Write, review, and debug code using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, contributing to both new features and existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews, development meetings, and training sessions to learn company technologies, software development methodologies, and best practices.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving software defects, conducting unit and system testing to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Work closely with mentors and senior engineers to gather user requirements, refine solutions, and gain exposure to multiple disciplines of product development, including front-end, back-end, and QA.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical / electronic schematics.
- Strong technical knowledge, mathematics skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Must be a US Person (Please note that applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be hands on with the ability and willingness to jump in at any time.
- Successful track record of challenging engineering and related courses.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
- Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative, strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.
- Exhibit strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree required. (GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred)
- Relevant internship / co-op experience preferred

- 0-10% travelling
The compensation information that follows is a reasonable estimate for the position and is provided pursuant to legal requirements in this state. The salary estimate provided represents the typical salary range for the position, and other factors may be used to determine the successful candidate’s actual salary, including skill set, experience, training, education, organizational needs, internal equity, market data, and geographic zone. The estimated salary range for this position is: $79,100 - $98,000. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan, subject to the rules governing the plan. SPX offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401k retirement with a company match, and flexible time off.
