How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Program Manager, you will work cross functionally to successfully manage internal development and international projects including meeting financial budgets, coordinating system production and integration, field installations and customer trainings.
This position will be part of our Job Rotation Program designed to provide the participant with comprehensive exposure to various departments within our organization, enabling them to gain diverse skills, knowledge, and experience. Participants will rotate through multiple departments such as proposal management, international contract administration, operations, export compliance and project management. Each rotation will last approximately three to six months, allowing participants to immerse themselves fully in each area and contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects and initiatives.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Create and execute project work plans and budgets and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Manages team of engineers and field technicians to complete project tasks both locally and in customers' countries
- Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision
- Managing aspects of pre-shipment process, Engineering and Production requirements and deadlines, and planning and supporting of customer Factory Acceptance Testing when necessary
- Support customers’ installation & site preparation planning, including identifying and managing subcontractors, coordinating Statement of Work documentation, ensuring quality of work, and managing customer modifications in scope
- Manage all onsite activities including site preparation; arrangements for and inspection of incoming shipments, installation and commissioning of hardware and software, performance of Site Acceptance Tests; training of customers; and local and remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact during execution (manufacturing, installation and post-sale support periods)
- Support sales and marketing activities in project and program management roles in preparation of proposals

Required Experience
- Two (2) years’ experience in a business development/ finance environment with an emphasis on relationship-building
- Comfortable taking and managing risks and challenging the status quo
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and responsibilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Self-starter with the ability to work cross functionally to complete projects
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must possess strong customer service skills
- Ability to drive processes and manage customer issues to resolution
- Strong attention to detail
- Good project management skills required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical acumen
- Understanding of business finance
- Knowledge of supply and logistics processes
- The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical / electronic schematics
- Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field
Travel & Working Environment
- International travel required, up to 25% of time
- Onsite presence require with opportunity to work hybrid after successful conclusion of training
Salary Range
We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $70,000 - 96,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
