Job Title: Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative - MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE - 12 - 18 MONTHS CONTRACT
SPX Sigma-Omega Corp.. is a mid-size manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment with a wide variety of hydronic heating and cooling products including wall fin, convectors, unit heaters, force flows, commercial self-contained units, radiant panels and much more. We are looking for a highly energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual with experience in the HVAC Industry, who can thrive in an environment with high business demand.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner, including product / technical information, order status, warranties support, shipping and returns.
- Review Mechanical plans and specifications
- Provide solutions and product selections as needed
- Prepare HVAC equipment pricing and quotations
- Develop technical submittals
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings.
- Liaison between customers and internal departments including operations, customer service, engineering, procurement and finance
- Execute all aspects of the sales function including order processing, purchase orders, quotes and delivery dates - ensure accuracy of information being entered to guarantee correct item(s) are ordered.
- Collaborate with Sales Director to determine best methods to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to the organization’s policies. Coordinate problem resolution with appropriate departments
- Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities
- Process HVAC commercial equipment orders with the ability to drive projects from inception to close
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the HVAC industry with good understanding of heat transfer. Experience with Hydronic heating and related products an asset
- Experience at any level with sheet metal manufacturing an asset
- General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as working knowledge of data base applications
- Effective and high quality Customer Service/Relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone, and email
- Positive, professional attitude with effective listening skills. Ability to handle difficult customers with ability to diffuse negative situations.
- Effective verbal and written skills – must be able to explain fairly technical information clearly and effectively and timely communicate with customers and accurately process orders
- Effective organizational skills and time management skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees
- Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
- Ability to understand and follow procedures, work instructions and company policies
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Understanding of safety protocols with COVID-19, such as use of personal protective equipment
Education & Experience
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
- HVAC Training / Certification is a plus
- HVAC Industry: 5+ years (preferred)
- Customer Service: 5+ years (preferred)
