As part of Detection and Measurement, CUES is the world’s leading developer of water, wastewater, and storm water inspection equipment. With CCTV cameras, pre-built vehicles, and software for pipeline inspection and rehabilitation, we improve the safety and reliability of our water infrastructure systems.
Job Summary / Objective
Operates medium to heavy duty pickup trucks, vans, and box trucks over the road, makes deliveries of custom pipeline inspection vehicles in a safe, secure, and professional manner to various locations throughout the United States.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
- Must be able to pick trucks up from either of our Orlando, FL location or various locations (as requested) and move them to the new destination on time and without damage.
Job Requirements:
- Must perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal regulations.
- Must follow all USDOT, federal, state, and local laws/rules/regulations for the safe operation of a CMV (commercial motor vehicle).
- Must follow all FMCSA rules/regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance of equipment.
- Must properly log hours of service in a log book.
- Must obtain and maintain a DOT physical certificate.
- Must have/maintain a good driving record.
- Must be able to conduct a thorough pre-trip and post trip inspection of the vehicle as required by FMCSA guidelines (must have the ability to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as necessary, to perform vehicle inspections).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must report any accidents or incidents involving the driver and/or equipment to delivery manager and the proper law enforcement.
- Must be able to follow general instructions regarding delivery location, delivery times, etc.
- Must have the ability to accept delivery trip requests on short notice.
- Must be able to plan trips (hotel stays, rental cars, return flights, etc.).
- Must make deliveries on time, unless extenuating circumstances arise.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to see/hear proficiently to operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe manner.
- Must be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
- Must be able to deliver vehicles clean and full of fuel.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have at least one year of experience with driving large vehicles (truck/trailer/RV/fire truck/etc.).
- Must have knowledge of FMCSA rules/regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance of equipment.
- Must have a clean driving record that will be verified as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Class A CDL license

- Post Offer Background check and drug screening required

- Work hours will be as needed
- Primarily local deliveries
- May travel 25-50%
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use computers and office equipment, light lifting and other physical requirements necessary to perform essential job functions.
