How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX Technologies is a collaborative organization where every employee contributes to our success. As a Contracts Manager for the HVAC Segment, you will support the development and oversight of effective contract administration across all products and services. This role partners with business units to review and negotiate contract terms, advise on deal structure, and draft or evaluate a variety of commercial agreements—including confidentiality, supply, purchase, procurement, and agency contracts. You will also provide guidance on general contractual matters and support executive leadership and the Segment General Counsel on key initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic partner and analytical problem‑solver who balances business objectives with risk management. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external customers, you will help identify and mitigate contractual risks while enabling practical, business‑focused solutions.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Contract Administration & Risk Management
- Manage and enhance contract administration processes across HVAC business units.
- Ensure that financial, legal, and risk considerations are properly evaluated during contract review and negotiation.
- Manage and refine templates, master agreements, fallback language, negotiation playbooks, and terms‑and‑conditions matrices.
- Drive continuous improvement of contract intake and approval workflows.
- Cross-Functional Contract Execution
- Partner with teams across Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, Risk Management, and Operations to review, negotiate, and finalize contracts and commercial terms.
- Support bid reviews, master terms management, and alignment with corporate standards and insurance requirements.
- Business Support & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver contract‑related training and serve as a resource for day‑to‑day contract interpretation and issue resolution.
- Partnering with Legal and IT to assess and implement AI‑enabled tools that improve contract review, data extraction, and overall efficiency.

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or related field preferred).
- Formal training or coursework in contract management, business law, or risk management is a plus.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, business law, or related environment.
- Demonstrated experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive-level professionalism.
- Exceptional analytical ability with sound business judgment.
- Strong process and systems mindset; able to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively.
- Proven customer service orientation with ability to meet commitments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills exhibiting tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
Ideal Experience & Skills
- Experience managing a CLM platform—Ironclad strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI‑enabled contract‑review workflows is a plus.
- Experience supporting cross‑functional teams in sales, legal, or commercial operations.
- Background in the data center industry or complex construction projects.
