As part of Detection and Measurement, Aids to Navigation, including Flash, Sabik Marine and Sealite, are leading providers of lighting and navigational aids for the marine, obstruction, and airfield end markets.  Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions, we help people transverse the world safely by air, land, and sea.

 

We are looking for a hands-on Technician with experience in electronics and basic navigation principles. The role focuses on programming, testing, and assembling navigation lanterns as part of our production process. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys practical work, working with electronic products, and ensuring high product quality.


Key Responsibilities
•    Program navigation lanterns and related AtoN products according to specifications
•    Use computers and test equipment to verify product functionality
•    Apply basic navigation knowledge to correctly configure lantern behaviour and control settings
•    Participate in final assembly of navigation lanterns and components
•    Perform routine testing, fault detection, and corrective actions during production
•    Follow production instructions, test procedures, and quality requirements
•    Support continuous improvement of production and testing processes


Required Qualifications & Skills
•    Education or work experience in electronics, electrical assembly, or production technology
•    Practical understanding of electronics and electronic components
•    Basic knowledge of marine navigation or willingness to learn
•    Comfortable working with computers for programming, testing, and documentation
•    Good manual skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to work reliably in a production environment


Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in electronic product assembly or testing
•    Experience with programming or configuring electronic devices
•    Background in maritime, navigation, or safety-critical products
•    Experience working with quality standards or production documentation
