How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
The position will be responsible for working in the process of HVAC refrigeration manufacturing. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to maintain equipment and facilities for two locations. You will perform various maintenance tasks such as day-to-day mechanical repair and preventative upkeep of all production equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Position requires knowledge of shop machinery, electrical skills including reading electrical schematics, safety procedures and company policies. The position also requires maintaining a good work ethic and environment built on teamwork, continuous improvement, safety, communication, customer service/satisfaction and organization.

- Complete high-quality day-to-day basic mechanical and preventative upkeep of all production machinery and building maintenance in accordance with safety codes and manufacturer’s instructions.
- Initiate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance processes to support manufacturing goals.
- Develop and execute plan of action for emergency equipment repair
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect various mechanical systems and schedule repairs when needed
- Troubleshoot equipment controls, including relays, contactors, motor starters, PLC’s, switches, heaters, thermocouples
- Provides recommendations regarding installation and repair of equipment
- Document Maintenance procedures for each piece of shop machinery. A check list of these procedures must be kept on file for any inspections from OSHA
- Maintain daily checklists for forklifts and cranes. Checklists must be kept in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service
- Must possess demonstrated ability to utilize shop equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. snow shoveling) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.) for the facility
- Maintains safe and health work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with company policies, keeping area clean and organized
- Other duties or projects as assigned

Required Experience
- 3-4 years of relevant experience
- HVAC equipment service experience preferred
- Experience with Manufacturing sites and building safety standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities

Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred
