How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
Assembles metal products partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or Controlled documents.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners.
- Operates drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and hand tools.
- Produces a completed unit capable of passing final inspection.
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Compensation Disclosure
- For use by Ontario employers with 25 or more employees, for positions with expected compensation of $200,000 CAD /year or less.
